Re-equipping a Nordic SAR fleet with integrated aircrew safety systems

How A-SS supported a multi-year refresh of helicopter aircrew survival equipment across an entire Nordic search-and-rescue fleet.

The challenge

A national search-and-rescue operator needed to replace ageing aircrew survival equipment across its full helicopter fleet without grounding aircraft or compromising readiness during the transition.

What we delivered

We coordinated a phased programme of integrated aircrew safety systems — immersion protection, life-preservers and personal locator equipment — with qualification support, fitting and crew familiarisation built around the squadrons' operational rhythm.

The outcome

The fleet now operates on a single, fully supported equipment standard, with predictable lifecycle management and a service relationship that keeps availability high across all bases.
